I'm not saying this to be negative, as I genuinely think its a neat idea, but temper your expectations until we see the how the alpha looks. It is worth keeping in mind, however, that even though this mod seems to be quite exciting, its being made by a solo developer, and as such it has a high chance of either being mediocre, or simply never showing up at all. Extract the Assets and Cinematics mod files (WCDCassets and WCDCcinematicsPart1/2) and extract them to the Mods folder in your Starcraft 2 install. Developed by Egod for StarCraft II's Arcade, The Curse of Tristram: Destruction's End is set to remake the entirety of Diablo II's.

Now we are getting a Diablo II remake that might be the most impressive mod for StarCraft II yet. While there is no current release date for the first episode of The Curse of Tristram, the alpha is set to begin in the near future, the summer of 2016. StarCraft II's powerful editor has produced a lot of interesting and downright innovative mods in the last few years. While the Curse of Tristram mod is still under heavy construction, the lone developer behind it released a rather promising gameplay trailer that showcases some of the locations from Diablo 2, and an Assassin whose legs seem to double as helicopter blades. Even though Diablo 2 is still perfectly playable, and in some ways perhaps more polished than Diablo 3, its still intriguing to see someone attempt to modernize its graphics and mechanics.
